ARTS
Chair: Michael Zetlan
The biggest project is the production of the PHSSA yearbook. No need to be an artist to join this committee!
COMMUNICATIONS
Chair: Erin Miller
This position handles all PTA communications. This includes emails, Class Dojo posts, and social media posts to better reach our entire community with as much information as possible . Additionally, this may require the creation of graphics and/or short videos to share with these posts.
EVENTS & FUNDRAISING
Chair: Lisa White
This committee identifies, plans, and executes events that promote opportunities for students, families and the community to work together toward a goal that will make a positive contribution to our school. Help plan events like the Fall and Spring Festivals or help create and support a PHSSA cheering station during the Richmond Marathon!
FAMILY INVOLVEMENT
Chair: Alice Albright
This committee assists families in meeting our school’s volunteer requirement of 24 hours per school year. It is dedicated to providing volunteer support to the school and PTA by engaging parents and encouraging participation. This committee maintains the Track it Forward database and reports to the principal quarterly.
GARDEN
Chair: Lauren Mathews
This committee schedules regular subcommittee meetings and reports back at PTA meetings, sends out meeting notes, plans Garden Workdays, and organizes fundraising for garden needs.
HOSPITALITY
Co-Chairs: Penny Kucera & Precious Johnson
This committee supports the Parents, Teachers, and Staff of PHSSA all year long by providing a nurturing environment. Members of this committee will bake, craft, and create fun ideas to make everyone feel welcome whether it be for Teacher Appreciation Week, Welcome Back to School, or support for a PHSSA community member in need.
MEMBERSHIP
Chair: Keyana Carter
This committee builds an informed and active membership that supports our PTA’s mission, goals, and programs. It encourages participation in the PTA by organizing membership drives that reach parents, teachers, and community members.
