Our Families

Engaged families have been crucial to the creation and success of PHSSA. The commitment of our community ensures that PHSSA can provide an environment where all of our students and thrive and grow.

PHSSA strives to create opportunities for families be engaged.

• Our classes use the gardens, Forest Hill Park, and Reedy Creek as extensions of the classrooms. There are often opportunities for families to accompany their student's class in these areas.
• On Friday mornings, PHSSA staff and students meet for Friday Morning Meetings.
  • Our Fifth Graders will present VIPs - Very Important Principles.
  • Students and staff will be recognized with Caught-Yas for embodying PHSSA's core values.
  • Classes will present what they've been learning to the entire school.  (Examples include how to practice mindfulness and a short play on the solar system.)
  • On special occasions, PHSSA may have a guest attend.
  • Families are able to attend these meetings via GoogleMeet, with our 4th and 5th graders operating the cameras!

• We encourage families to join our PTA! We also encourage families to share their time and talent with PHSSA.
