GARDEN WORK DAY

Highlights from the winter:

DEC – We were able to harvest kale and radishes. The kale was served in a soup to our kids in January. Unfortunately, the radishes did not quite make it out of storage.

FEB – We had a great harvest and Mrs. Cooper and her staff were able to serve cabbage, kale and collards to all students – some went back for thirds! The broccoli was served as part of lunch – yay! The radishes were still trying to grow and every Kindergartner was able to take a radish with them!

One thing to note – we were able to produce well out of approximately only 1/2 the beds, so we are excited to see what will happen when we are able to use all of the beds. This could not happen without your hard work.
