Counselor Corner
Dear Parents and Guardians,
I want to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Ashlee Davis. I am the school counselor at Patrick Henry School of Science and Arts. This is my 14th year serving in this role at PHSSA. I am so happy to be here and a part of such a wonderful school and community! I have spent the past two weeks meeting all the students here; they truly are incredible kids.
As a School Counselor, my primary responsibility is to promote the academic, personal, and social development of all students. I look forward to supporting the students, staff, families, and community. Here are some of the services I provide:
- Individual Counseling - One-on-one support for personal, academic, or social concerns.
- Group Counseling - Small group sessions on topics such as friendships, divorce, etc.
- Classroom Lessons - Monthly social-emotional learning lessons to teach important life skills.
- Crisis Intervention - Immediate support in times of crisis or significant stress.
- College and Career Planning - College and career exploration lessons and workshops.
- Referral Assistance - Connecting students and families to external resources and services.
I would like the students here to think of my office as a warm and friendly place, where they are always welcome. My office is also a haven where they can get help if they feel confused or worried.
Any student can request to meet with me, or they can be referred by a teacher, administrator, or parent. I encourage you to reach out if you have concerns regarding your child. Please feel free to call me at (804) 888-7061 or email me at aeaster2@rvaschools.net.
I’m excited to be here, and I look forward to getting to know you and your children!
Kindest Regards,
Ashlee E. Davis
School Counselor
